Mr. Alwee (Goodwill Ambassador and International Relations Advisor Halal Park Cambodia)
Mr. Alwee is a veteran public sector leader, community advocate, and halal industryadvisor with more than 40 years of experience in environmental health, regulatoryenforcement, public engagement, and community development in Singapore.He began his career with Singapore's Ministry of Environment in 1975, serving in GeneralServices, Vector Control, Public Health Cleansing, and the Special Operations Unit.Throughout his tenure, he contributed to public health protection, environmentalsustainability, regulatory compliance, and community well-being.
Following the restructuring of Singapore's food regulatory framework, he continued hisservice with the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), overseeing food establishment inspections,environmental assessments, sanitation compliance, and enforcement activities thatsupported Singapore's world-class food safety standards.Mr. Alwee brings deep expertise in regulatory systems, stakeholder engagement, public policy implementation, environmental health management, and community relations.
Beyond government service, he has played an active leadership role in grassroots andcommunity organisations. As Chairman of the Malay Activity Executive Committee (MAEC)under the Aljunied-Kembangan Citizens' Consultative Committee (CCC) and Community Club Management Committee (CCMC), he advanced initiatives promoting social cohesion, community empowerment, and multicultural engagement.
